CENTRAL REGIONAL BAND PARENTS ASSOCIATIONMINUTES OF THE
DECEMBER 5, 2011 MEETING
The meeting was called to order at 7:10pm by President, Donna Eckhardt.
SECRETARY’S REPORT: (Anita Melillo)
The minutes were distributed, read and approved. A motion to accept was made by Maria Quintana, second by Sandy Walker. All were in favor.
TREASURER’S REPORT: (David Augusto)
Current balance of Band Parent Account is $1006.46. There is no total for the Friendly’s held on 11/3/11, as of yet. He still has band shirt orders open; we need a minimum of 25 shirts to put an order through. He will look into the possibility of an order being placed and ready for Christmas, only if the minimum total amount to order is reached. Prices are as follows: t-shirts $10, Golf shirts $15, Hoodies $30. Any embroidery is an additional $5. Sizes are all standard mens sizes, Small, Med., Lrg, X-Lrg, 1,2,3,& 4 X-L’s. Contact David as soon as possible if you are interested.

Donna reported that we will be collecting donations for a miscellaneous basket that will be raffled off during the Holiday Concert on December 20, 2011. All donations must be submitted to Mr. Genthe on or before Thursday December 15, 2011.
WAYS & MEANS: (Mary Sedlack)
Only 8 orders for the Avon Fundraiser came in. If you have any orders, please contact her ASAP.
Mary briefly spoke about the BINGO Breakfast Fundraiser that will be held on April 21, 2012. All planning will start in January 2012. Much help and many committees will be needed. Lots of gift donations will be needed. “Re-gift” items are welcome. More details to follow during the January 2012 Band Parent meeting. Please attend.
Sandy Walker is planning a Yogurt fundraiser, just need to pick a date.

Winter Concert is December 20th. Dress rehearsal is December 19th. There will also be rehearsals on Tues. Dec. 7th, Wed. Dec. 8th, Tues. Dec 14th, & Wed. Dec. 15th.
Jeff also mentioned the Spring trip is set for NYC for April 26th-29th 2012. Ms. Moore is running the trip. The cost is $350 per person. He would like to split the payment into two $175 installments each, first in January 2012 and the 2ndin February 2012. As of now the schedule for NYC is:
Thurs.- Choir Performs at St. John the Devine
Fri.- Festival of Music/Tour of Carnegie Hall/Dinner in Little Italy at Sal Anthony Diner
Sat.- Awards Ceremony/ and much more is planned.
Sun.- Return Home More details to follow.
Indoor Guard- (Cristina Rodriguez)
Ms. Cristina mentioned that the indoor guard students would like to compete in the Wildwood Tournament the weekend of May 4, 2012. A $500 deposit is needed. She suggests the students do fundraisers to earn the money for the tournament. She suggests, a Spin-a-thon which will be held during the rehearsals, or “Tagging” which is just like a “Can Shake”.Students can earn 100% profit with these fundraisers and monies can be placed in their individual student accounts. She will send home information about indoor guard to all parents on Wednesday, December 7, 2011.
